I'm glad to be home with the kids today. On Long Island, we got at least a foot.

Mary Ellen Walsh: Stuff a pillow of pasta with anything, serve it to me on a fancy plate and I'm yours. I love my three crazy kids, Pearl Jam, classic rock, dogs and language. I won some awards as a freelance writer, public relations maven and musician. No award yet for motherhood. Come to think of it, I'd like a raise and vacation! Bouts of depression clog my thinking till I'm pounding on the CVS doors at 3 a.m give me ESTROGEN.... early menopause is a bitch. It has left me forgetful with writer's block so I wail a little Led Zep on my guitar to wake up the neighbors. And now, after 24 years, I'm going back to school as an MFA fiction-writing grad student. Keep up with me like my husband tries to.
